Somedays I just cannot be annoyed. Last night me and R had a disagreement, over nothing at all, but I huffed like a child and slept on the couch.
Except I didn't sleep. I just lay on their, snuggled up in a blankie and a duvet and watched TV. At 5 this morning I decided enough was enough, I got up, got washed and dressed, had my brekkie and took myself off to work. I was in work from 7.30. I DO NOT START UNTIL 9!
So when lunchtime rolled around I was a wee bit hungry. So I stuffed myself with chips and a sandwich, yup I had both. Now to any American readers I mean french fries and hmmm what do you call sandwiches? I always think a sandwich in America is a burger here, so what do you call sandwiches? You know two pieces of bread with some ham and tomato in the middle? Someone enlighten me.
Anyhoo
Yeah I was hungry.
Its after five now. I have the gym this evening, Zumba and Kettlebells and I am just in the mood to curl up and sleep.
I hope I find some energy somewhere.
How do you cope after being up too long and needing to go to the gym?
How do you cope after arguing with your other half. Especially when you know it was over nothing. :-(
Good thing tho, baby girl is making dinner tonight. So when I get home from the gym my dinner will be sitting waiting on me.
Bad thing, that will be after eight tonight. I forsee eating dinner whilst snoozing!!
Catch you later.....

The gym really knocks it out of you, doesn't it?
I have hit it pretty hard in the past couple of days. An hour and a half of boxing circuits on Tuesday and a half hour of Zumba last night, with 45 mins of kettle bells after that.
I am pooped!!
My knees hurt, my thighs hurt, my arms hurt, my chest hurts.
I am a mess.
On the otherhand, I was able to do that. Me, the overweight lazy biatch that six months ago had never set foot in a gym, was able to do 3 hours pretty intense exercise over a two day period.
I am so proud of me.
I watched some trash TV yesterday (Dr Oz) and he was saying that we should all celebrate the small stuff more. I agree. Look around, think carefully. What happened today that made you smile? What did you do to make a difference? Whose life did you make better, if only for an instant? I bet you can think of at least one thing.
No? Well, let me help you. Did you let someone out of a road who was waiting? Bet you made them smile. Did you stand back and open a door for someone struggling with bags? You made their life easier. Did you smile at a stranger on the train or bus? There you go!!
Bet you can think of a few more things now, can't you?
Just think, every single day we do things, probably without thinking, that change other people's lives. Celebrate that. You do make a difference.
So yeah, I am celebrating that six months ago I couldn't do those things.
I am celebrating that I am making myself healthier.
I am celebrating that I am going on holiday in four months. :-)
I am also feeling pretty sore!
And feeling a little guilty that I should be working. :-/
Better get back to it.
Talk soon :-)

This is getting harder and harder to find the time to do. I enjoy it, its fun getting a few of my thoughts and feelings down on paper so to speak, but the timing is an issue.
I will have to suck it up and just find the time.
I have been going to the gym again...whats that I hear you say. I know...no big surprise at all is there? I still don't love it, but I do it.
This weekend was a busy one. Spin twice on Saturday, Spin and Pump on Sunday. Monday was an hour of one on one time with a trainer, Tuesday I had off. Wednesday was Zumba and Kettlebells. Today I am off. Friday will be Tabata Circuits with spin.
Phew..it wrecks me just typing it!!!
I lost another 2lb this week.
Its coming off slowly.
I have also decided (on the express instructions from the trainer at the gym) to stop eating bread. Three days down and so far so good. But I am SICK of salad for lunch. I need to get to the shops and buy different things to eat!!
Work beckons so talk soon :-)

I was off work today. It was nice. However I got bored so quickly.
So I went to have a pedicure. It was great. I have purple toe nails now.
Then I went to the gym. Zumba and aerobics. Boy I am wrecked. My arms feel like they are gonna fall off.
Home now and watching Masterchef Australia.
:-)
What a day!

I was at the gym again today. I haven't been since Saturday. I could tell by how hard it was to do stuff! Not a good thing at all.
We did Zumba then tabata circuits. That was a TOUGH class! Circuits on a 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off, repeat four times then change kinda thing!
Really not sure I wanna go back next week. But I probably will. I want this. I want to be fit.
But not enough to give up nice food. R went to the shop and bought me cream buns when he got home from archery. I am spoiled. :-)
Baby girl made dinner too.
Today was a great day.

It's baby girls birthday today. She was 23. It amazes me that I can have a 23 year old daughter. I don't feel that old yet, so how can my daughter be that old.
She went to get a tattoo of her wee brother and wee sisters initials on her wrist. I was not impressed. But I suppose it is her body!
We went out for dinner to a Chinese restaurant. It was great.
Overall it was a good day.
I am tired tho. I was at the gym. Again I hear u ask? Yes. S came in and we did our workout this afternoon. Then I went back in the evening and did a Zumba class and an aerobics class. My word but my arms, shoulders and thighs are sore.
We are back again tomoro to do another workout.
That's dedication!

Mondays get a bad name. They are usually the first day of a working week. The day you have to get up early for after a weekend of no alarms. The day that tires you out, cos you never go to bed at a proper time on Sunday.
Poor Monday.
But Monday also brings new hope. Yes it is the first day of a working week. A new chance to do new things. To try something different. To work a little harder. To do a little more.
My Monday started earlier than usual. I was in work for 8. It was one of those days. You know the ones where your phone doesn't stop. When people keep asking you to do new things. Where you never actually get anything finished. Yeah. I had one of those days.
After work I went to the gym. I worked out. I increased the intensity on the bike. I pushed myself a little more on the weights. Then I did a Zumba class. I worked hard there too. And sweated. I sweated a lot. But no pain no gain.
I came home after 8 and was so happy that dinner was done. I had made it last night but baby girl finished it off and made wedges. Yay!
We watched a little TV. And then we went to bed.
It was a good Monday.
I hope your Monday was a good one too. :-)

I am wrecked. I think every muscle in my body is sore.
Gym workout. Followed by Zumba. Followed by Tone and Core.
That was hard work.
But.
When I finished the instructor came up to me and said she could see a real improvement in me. Earlier one of the other instructors had said the same thing when I was in the gym.
I have been working hard. Maybe it's finally starting to pay off.
I know I can feel it in my everyday life. Walking up stairs doesn't kill just so much. Even walking home from work (20 mins walk) feels easier. But for them to tell me they had noticed. I kinda floated home.
I just kept replaying the conversation in my head. They can see the difference too.
It's been six weeks of slog. I still wouldn't say I like the gym. But I like the feeling of being fitter.

Sometimes it's harder to find something good in my day. It's not that it was a bad day. It's just that nothing really happened.
I went to work. I went to the gym. I did Zumba.
I came home. Me and R made dinner. We ate dinner.
Baby girl went out for dinner with her daddy.
Me and R watched TV.
It was an ordinary day.
But there, right there is the good thing.
I had an ordinary day when nothing bad happened.
I have a job. One that I kinda like, most of the time.
I am fit and able and can afford to go to the gym.
I have food and a house and a husband who loves me enough to make dinner with me.
I have a great life.

It has now been 31 whole days since I started this blog. I saw on Instagram or Facebook or somewhere how people were doing #365 projects, (there you go, it must be Instagram cos of the hashtag), and I decided to give it a go. I tried on Instagram, taking a pic every day of which book I was reading...well that lasted approximately a week. I like reading, and in fact usually have a couple of books on the go. And I love taking pics, so I thought that would work. Turns out, I am not too fond of taking pics of books I am reading.
This on the other hand stuck.
It hasn't been hard, but I haven't tried too hard. Most posts have only been a few lines, and occasionally a pic or two.
I think next month I will try putting a little bit more thought into my posts, not for any particular reason, other than, I have stuck it a month so why not?
Another thing I have stuck for a whole month is the gym. I am proud of this fact. I very rarely stick at anything, it is far easier to just sit on the sofa and watch TV rather than going to the gym and working out. I still don't know what put it in my head that I should do it, I have thought about it before, but that's all I did. Thought about it. I never did anything about it.
This time I didn't think. I went to the gym and paid my money the first night. The second night I went. And it was hard. It was very hard.
The most I had done previous to this was walking home from work, slowly. And at the gym they expected me to actually break a sweat. I came home that night complaining that I didn't want to go again. It was hard and I just didn't like it. However I had paid my money, so I didn't want to waste it. So I went back. Again. And again. And again.
I wouldn't say I like it now either. But I don't hate it as much. And it feels really good walking out of the gym afterwards, knowing that I stayed on the stepper just that little bit more, or survived the Zumba class without collapsing.
Its true what they say. Your body gets used to working out quite quickly. I can do things now that I wouldn't have dreamed of a month ago. And it is making my dreams bigger. I want to lose more. I want to get fitter. I want to be able to run marathons. (Ok that's going a wee bit too far, but you get my point)
If I can do it, you can do it.
What do you want to do? Make a decision and do it. Don't let that little voice in your head tell you that you can't do it. You can!!

Gym again today. Phew that was a hard one.
I did my normal gym routine. Then did a Zumba class.
Then just as I was leaving the instructor said sure why not stay for next class. So I did.
It was a tae bo boxercise kinda class.
I thought I was going to die! But I did it.
Way to go me!

I went to the gym again today. I thought baby girl was going to start but she decided not to, she is doing Zumba at home and Just Dance in her friends house.
Well, I decided to try this Zumba thing too. I went and did my normal workout, then joined the class for Zumba.
Waiting in the queue listening to the girls talk I got a little scared. Could I do this? It sounded really hard. 'I sweated buckets last week' said one, 'Hardest class I ever did' said another. Slightly nervous I walked in. The instructor, a strangely mad woman looked straight at me 'Have you done Zumba before?' 'No' I said. 'Make it up', she said smiling.
So I did. And it was fun. I am going next time.
